Haseebah has worked with WaterAid on two projects, one being ‘Art of Change’ and another ‘Best Seat in the House’.

Best Seat in the House

Best Seat in the House (2024) is a collaboration between Rankin and WaterAid bringing awareness to the millions of people who go without a toilet everyday. Haseebah’s design highlighted the current sanitation crisis in which young girls have had to skip school whilst on their period due to no access to a toilet. Her seat compares the disparity between healthy and unhealthy water hygiene and how that can feel like through a visual language.

The toilet seat was sold at auction where 100% of the proceeds went to WaterAid to support their ongoing work towards better access of clean water to communities that need it most.

Art of Change

Art of Change (2022) was a collaboration between Water Aid and The British Art Fair at Saatchi Gallery in which a silent auction featured climate themed works by established and emerging British artists to highlight how the climate crisis was affecting the world’s most vulnerable communities.

Haseebah’s piece ‘Emerald Floods’ spotlighted the ongoing floods in South Asia and specifically calls attention the damage caused in Pakistan in 2022 due to unexpected heavy rainfall and melting glaciers as a direct result of climate change. A two colour Lino print, a first and only of it’s kind, points to a new vulnerability the floods have caused for communities, and disruption of everyday life. The artwork was sold at auction and 50% of the proceeds went towards WaterAid to help victims of climate change.
