Biography

Haseebah Ali is an artist and arts educator based in the UK. Her practice is a socially engaged one informed by her upbringing and faith as a British-Azad Kashmiri, Muslim woman. Ali’s practice spans across illustration, photography, sculpture and textiles with a specialised focus on printmaking.

Having obtained a BA in Illustration in 2018, and newly an MA in Print at RCA in 2026, Haseebah’s work has been exhibited in a number of galleries including New Art Exchange (2019 - 2020), Ikon Gallery (2021), Eastside Projects (2023), Saatchi Gallery (2024), Soho Revue (2024) and more recently Ort Gallery (2025) for her solo show exploring Azad Kashmiri diasporic life. Her artwork has also been featured in various publications including Thawrah (2023), Yellowzine (2022) and Creative Alliance (2022). Outside of this, she has featured as a guest judge for BBYA (2022) and was awarded DYCP funding in which she has explored traditional art forms employed in the global south.

Ali’s work is centred around storytelling and conveying that through pattern and print. Her artistic aim is to create artwork that not only speaks to people, but one that continues to educate and challenge both audiences and herself.

Lately Haseebah has enjoyed exploring the intersections of Traditional and Decorative Arts with contemporary life and how this relates back to people and their stories. Her recent series, made through aquatint etchings and lino print, delves into this by highlighting the corner shop, and how it holds a place in Britain's thread work as a key part of community and civic space.
